Compact yet powerful desktop network

The TL-SF1006P from TP-Link is a compact yet powerful desktop network switch designed to combine reliable wired connectivity with Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities. Ideal for small offices, shops, homes, or CCTV systems, this switch allows you to power network devices such as IP cameras, access points, or VoIP phones directly through Ethernet cables — no extra power adapters needed. Plug-and-play setup, fanless silent operation, and PoE budget management make it a convenient and efficient networking solution.

Key Features (In-depth)

Safe PoE Power Management

Supports standard PoE protections and automatically distributes power to ensure safe operation. If total demand exceeds the 67 W budget, lower-priority ports power down to maintain stable performance

Integrated Data + Power Delivery

With 4 PoE+ ports, TL-SF1006P simplifies installation by transmitting both data and power over a single Ethernet cable. This reduces clutter and makes deployment of devices like IP cameras, access points, or VoIP phones much more convenient.

Support for Long-distance PoE (Extend Mode)

The switch offers an Extend Mode, allowing data and power transmission up to 250 m — useful when devices are far from power outlets or the main router.

Priority Mode for Critical Devices

Ports 1–2 can be prioritized to ensure stable connection for latency-sensitive devices (e.g. CCTV cameras or VoIP phones), improving reliability under heavy load.

Compact, Fanless & Quiet

The fanless design makes the switch silent — ideal for office or home environments. Its small desktop-friendly form factor ensures easy placement and minimal desk footprint.

Auto-Negotiation & Auto-MDI/MDIX

These features make setup effortless — no need for crossover cables or manual configuration when connecting devices.

FAQs

Can the switch power all 4 PoE ports at the same time?

Yes, the 8 PoE+ ports can power IP cameras, access points, and other PoE-enabled devices.

How far can I run PoE cable using this switch?

In “Extend Mode,” the switch can transmit data and power up to 250 m — useful for powering devices located far from the switch (e.g. outdoor cameras). Note: port speed drops to 10 Mbps in Extend Mode.

Will it work without configuration?

Yes — this is an unmanaged, plug-and-play switch. No setup or software installation is required.

Is the switch noisy?

No — it has a fanless design, so it operates silently
